OUR DESPERATE PLANET IS FIGHTING FOR ITS LIFE AGAINST THE HUMAN RACE WHICH IS TRYING TO DESTROY IT….#EARTH DAYat50

Sadly as we “celebrate” the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, an annual event recognized around the world on April 22nd to demonstrate support for environmental protection., we are witnessing the continued destruction of our planet. The original Earth Day was a unified response to an environment in crisis — oil spills, smog, rivers so polluted they literally caught fire. On April 22, 1970, 20 million Americans — nearly 10% of the U.S. population at the time — took to the streets, college campuses and hundreds of cities to protest environmental ignorance and demand a new way forward for our planet. The organizers of Earth Day were seeking a forum from which to provide a day of education about environmental issues. First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries.

Despite its good intentions, the efforts appear unsuccessful, even after a half century of a global effort to remind us that we need to take action now to protect our environment before it’s too late. In fact, it may already be too late to reverse the toxic footprint which has been damaging our environment. We are experiencing dramatic changes in global temperatures resulting in severe weather patterns affecting the ecology throughout the planet; the serious erosion of the coral reefs; and now a viral pandemic that is impacting the world more devastatingly than any other event since the founding of Earth Day.

Is there anything we can do to stem the lethal damage to our planet? YES, there is something we can all do collectively. We can make the personal decision to becoming part of the solution and to act appropriately by advocating for cleaner air and better global management of Earth’s resources.

We can and should begin TODAY by talking with our families and friends about conservation and picking a specific area of interest we may have and focusing each day on making an improvement in that area. It could be water conservation, improvement of the quality of the air, saving endangered species, energy conservation, there are unlimited choices. We urge you to pick a favorite and devote your energy to making our planet healthy again.
